The Procurement Department/unit is one of the service departments established in all MDAs in 2008 as part of the implementation of the Public Procurement Act, 2007 as outlined in the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Circular No. HCSF/PSO/155/I/3 of 31st March, 2008 on the Establishment of Procurement Cadre in the Federal Civil Service.
In total compliance with the above, procurement unit was established in September, 2019, under The Rector, Dr. D. N. Olayinka (fnis), led administration. The Procurement Unit of the school, serve as the Secretariat for the Procurement Planning Committee and it also responsible for managing all aspects of the School's Procurement Processes in line with the Public Procurement Act, 2007.

The Tenders Board of the School under the Chairmanship of the Accounting Officer (Rector) handles award of projects within its threshold for the School and Agencies under its supervision
